"Delicious, Divine and Delectable ~ Delizie"

Delicious, Divine and Delectable ..... a perfect description for a local restaurant of ours that brings a little piece of Europe to Rockhampton, Queensland .....

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Delizie" and it is heaven .... John and Gianni cast a magic spell which makes you feel like you could be anywhere ....

John removes the cover of the sweetest treats ....

this function had an Australian theme with a touch of France .... the macarons were flavoured "vegemite" and "ovaltine" ..... two iconic Aussie favourites... I was a little apprehensive but John insisted that I must imbibe before reaching a verdict.  Stunning ... absolutely stunning the vegemite macaron was delicately flavoured with our favourite yeast extract and was a perfect  partner to the sauvignon blanc ..... savoury and then follow with an ovaltine creation ... sweet, but not overly so, and perfect ...

and here is the gorgeous Tilly who always knows  a good macaron .... enjoy
Congratulations John and Gianni .....  you have created a little piece of heaven for us ...

WOWOWOWOOWWOW!!! FRANCIS, this is marvelous! And you know, we had some Aussi friends way back in our school days in Boston. They raved about Vegimite and so we tried some. I have to say that we spit it out, and we wondered, "WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL WITH THIS?????" BUT, I can only imagine what a macaroon would be like with the right WINE to go with it! GREAT MINDS think outside the box an this has got to be a stroke of genius, UN COUP DE GENIE!!! Anita

Frances, it looks like a very gorgeous place, have to say i am curious about how the vegetime macaron would taste!!! not sure about that!! Also, i just wanted to say how very, very sad I am for your loss, so awful. But it nice to know that he was surrounded by a truly beautiful family, I am sure he was very blessed. Dearest Frances,
Delizie looks like a fabulous place.. and those macarons ~ delightful! I'm intrigued by both flavours, and what treat is on the bottom of the stand?
I was hoping to stop by my favourite french bakery the other day for macarons and meringues but didn't have time. I will make it a priority this week.
Wishing you a most lovely week, mon ami! xoxo, B

Oooooo, the DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET sounds divine! There are so many movies that I have missed that I simply must catch up with. We just finished enjoying Downton Abby and NOW WE MUST WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON! Oh how I just love British films! THANK YOU MY DEAR ONE for visiting with me and enjoying my cinema room; that is exactly what it is and we love it. With the new French doors facing South, we get such a beautiful light streaming through!

Now off to work....have a delightful day MA REINE MARIE!!!! Anita

Hmmm, your description makes my mouth water...
Although I have to confess even our little village sports now a French patisserie, which serves the most delectable macaroons. A la Laduree!
But this new restaurant must be exciting!
ONE DAY we will visit!!!
Our kids beg us every year!
Thanks for stopping by, sweetheart!

Bonjour ma belle,

It is always wonderful to see you visit me! We have been so busy in a whirlwind of school and such, and the warm weather we are experiencing at the moment is calling us to think of the free days of summer. Weary as we may all be, our "SPRING" and creative spirit is within us, calling us all to take charge....enjoy your days and may the work you do with such passion lift you!

BLESSINGS ET BISES, Anita
