More Square Blocks!
These are our colonial blocks in the new study. I think this architectural feature is so elegant and originates in the Georgian period as it does tend to follow a classical style. The photos aren't great as they are not face on but some of the detail is apparant. I also found some 1920's Tour de France photographs that I placed on the other wall. Andrew is a cycling nut and Le Tour is his holy grail! Have a great night!

This room is lovely, I saw the makeover and it looks like a very tranquil place to sit and read. I love the detailed architraves too.
I love how you mix dark funiture with white and of course "blue".I also love the blue cushion! Are they still available? Fiona
Oh my your blog is stunning as is your home...merci beaucoup for the lovely comments on my blog La Pink Paperie ! Love love love that wall color, you'll have to tell me what it is !@? So fresh and beautiful with that stunning white bookcase unit.
By the way, you had asked about the Marie Antoinette lampshades ! They will be available as soon as my own samples arrive in the next few days.
Mille bisous, paulette
Fiona the blue cushions were from Lily G in Brisbane but I have that fabric..... it is a Warwick blue and it is lovely. You could check with Lily G or I could get them made up for you and send them over to Perth. I do like to mix dark antique pieces of furniture with whites, blues etc..... I think the contrast is fantastic and I actually think it highlights the patina of the wood. Also, I think it has a fresh contemprary look to it.
Paulette I am very excited about those lampshdes .... can't wait to see them come in!
