"Beautiful Interior"

I wanted to share these "Beautiful Interiors" with you. I took these photos when we were staying at the Trianon Palace Hotel at Versailles in July '08. This is the bathroom of our room.. I love the combination of the black horizontal brick tiles and calacutta marble... so elegant.

this
is the foyer with the gorgeous chandelier in the background and the buttoned green velvet tri chair in the middle.

lovely blog, so glad to find you... I do like the calcutta marble. I need to compare calcutta gold to carerra marble...or perhaps you can help me distinguish some differences...? I look forward to keeping up with you!

Thank-you all for such beautiful comments. It was a gorgeous hotel with Versailles just on the doorstep! Gray I would love to help ... the Calcutta I used in our bathroom is a calcutta grey which means it is basically very similar to carrara except it has a much whiter background and also bigger more dramatic grey veining. It also has tendencies to a little bit of taupe veining. Calcutta gold has grey and gold veining through it which is also beautiful but something that would be to a specific interior. Carrara I love as well... the veining is not as dramatic and it tends to not have as white a background. Hope this helps. I am going to do a post with close-ups of our ensuite soon so perhaps you could have a look at those. Cheers and Happy Easter!
